Effective Ways To Minimize Unwanted Drama In Your Life: Part 2

If you missed the first part of this little series about ways to minimize drama in your life, then go ahead and catch up! Here are a few more tips to help you out:

1. Don’t get angry

It’s definitely easier said than done, but it’s true. When we have huge arguments with people, some of us tend to blurt things out without really thinking. This can result in hurt feelings and a lot of unnecessary drama. Find ways to calm down and get back to the conversation when both parties are clear-headed. We’re all entitled to our emotions, good and bad, but we can try to avoid lashing out when it comes to the little things. Remember, you control how you react to situations.

2. Don’t feed the beast

We all have those friends that constantly complain and seem to have a dark cloud over them most of the time.  Of course, this is your friend and you want to help them, and so you should, but don’t get caught up in their drama. The key here is to make sure you take care of yourself. Listen to them and try not to feed into it. Chances are, all they wanted to do is to vent.

3. Reconsider toxic relationships

If you have friends or romantic partners in your life that make you feel stressed or anxious most of the time, chances are it’ll do you good to let them go. If this isn’t something you want to do, then perhaps lessen the time you spend with them or set boundaries. Communication is key here to fully express how you feel about a situation. It might make them reconsider how they go about things that make people want to avoid them.

4. Learn from it

It can sometimes feel difficult to minimize the drama in your life if you feel like it always surrounds you. But if you follow these tips, they might make you see that you can change anything around in your life if you really want to. Once you do, and you figure out your own way to deal with drama, you’ll feel good about the fact that you actually dealt with that challenge. It’s a learning experience, just like everything else in life.

We hope you find these suggestions helpful - we could all use a little less drama in our lives! Visit our online library www.goeread.com for some books to distract you. Perhaps reading some drama will give you enough to not want actual drama in your life.
